#HubbsTop10 Part 1

What a year it has been in the music industry.

The charts have been filled with a huge variety of different genres including House, Pop, RnB and Grime. Records have been smashed in the streaming world and the dance-floor fillers have been coming thick and fast.

Aside from that we have had the heartbreaking news that David Bowie, Prince and George Michael, to name a few, had died leaving us to remember the amazing songs they had left us with and many will have great memories from seeing them live.

As 2016 comes to a end (a welcoming end for most) we find it only fitting to look at the best songs from the year in a 4 part series called #HubbsTop10. Yeah original or what ?

Part 1

10, Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop The Feeling

One of THE catchiest songs of the year, Can’t Stop The Feeling is a song recorded by American singer and songwriter Justin Timberlake for the soundtrack to the film Trolls, for which he serves as the executive music producer. It was written and produced by Timberlake, Max Martin and Shellback.

The song entered the charts at number three on the in early May and remained in the number 2 position for four weeks, it later reached the top spot of the UK Singles Sales Chart and spent two weeks as well at the top position. So far, the predicted sales for the song are over 1 million copies purchased and streaming is insane with the official video on YouTube being viewed over 330 MILLION TIMES. If you have been living under a rock for the year and haven’t heard this song yet, or you want to hear it again, then you can check it out below.

9, Shawn Mendes – Stitches

Another song that is SUPER catchy, Stitches climbed through the charts to peak at Number 1 in January. In fact the song was gaining such a massive following, it overtook Bieber to finish the chart domination from his fellow Canadian. Yes it only spent 2 weeks at the top but what is even more amazing is the fact Stitches managed to hang around for 61 weeks in the chart. Thats AMAZING and even more amazing is the single has sold 1.2 million copies. That is why we have had no choice but to feature the song in our Top 10 ?

8, Kungs And Cookin On 3 Burners – This Girl

Not the biggest selling song in our top 10 BUT it is the one everyone dances to and it’s even been adopted by many different walks of life INCLUDING football fans. Not bad for a song that your parents hate to admit they like.

There is a tropical house theme to this song and was co-produces by French DJ and record producer Kungs (Valentin Brunel) with Australian funk trio Cookin’ on 3 Burners. This song has been tearing up the dance-floors throughout 2016 and we see this staying around as long as OMI – Cheerleader.

7, Little Mix – Shoutout To My Ex

What a year it has been for the 4 sassy ladies. A sell out world tour, they slayed their performance at The Brits with Black Magic, their new album Glory Days went straight to number one in the album charts and they released the ultra-sassy ‘Shoutout To My Ex’. The hit spent 2 weeks at the top before being replaced by Rockabye, a tune which will feature in another part of our top 10.

Check out this incredible tune below.

That is all for Part One but stay tuned for our second part. You can also see the run down on our Facebook and Twitter page throughout the day.
