#HubbsTop10 Part 2

Welcome back to Part 2 of #HubbsTop10. We are counting down the top 10 songs of the year (in our opinion)

6, Fifth Harmony – Work From Home

Now we were talking about the best songs of the year and this led to a massive debate in the office as to who’s sassier out of Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. This made the decision of which song goes where in our list hard so we decided Work From Home goes ahead due to the fact it’s been out longer this year.

Unbelievably Work From Home, which also featured  Ty Dolla Sign, only peaked at number 2. Despite that it was one of the catchiest songs of the year and that is why it’s featured in our top 10.

Oh and the video is HOT too.

5, Zara Larsson – Lush Life

Where do we begin with this young lady? 19 year old Zara has probably had the best year in the music industry. Lush Life (which was originally released in 2015) has sold over 1.1 million copies in 2016 and spent 13 weeks in the top 10 early in the year.

Thing is we didn’t know which song to pick to feature in the top 10 as Zara sang on the Euro 2016 song, This One’s For You, which was produced by David Guetta followed by Ain’t My Fault and I Would Like. Oh and she collaborated with Tinie Tempah for Girls Like early in 2016 which just missed out on the top 10.

But we have gone with Lush Life for the fact we absolutely love it still (and apparently it’s her biggest selling single so far)

We have also named Zara Larsson as our Breakthrough Act Of 2016

4, Clean Bandit – Rockabye (Feat Anne-Marie & Sean Paul)

7 weeks at top spot, Christmas Number 1, it’s fair to say this unlikely combination has been the tune of the end of 2016. It was released on 21 October 2016 and was their first single since Neil Amin-Smith’s departure from the group.

Talking to Digital Spy, Grace Chatto said, “We’ve wanted to work with Sean Paul for a long, long while and it’s a dream that we’ve managed to finally do it. Anne-Marie tells the story and we love her voice. We first heard her singing with Rudimental and we’ve met her at a million festivals over the past couple of years – it’s been so lovely to collaborate together.”

That is all for part 2. We will be counting down to 2 tomorrow which includes the comeback of the year and a unexpected hit. As per keep it tuned on Facebook and Twitter for our LIVE countdown.
